About Director
Girish Malik is an actor turned writer and director and has produced and directed over 1000 hours of TV shows and docu dramas and 3 feature films and around 50 ad films.His debut film as a feature film writer, director and producer; JAL released on April 4, 2014. JAL was in Competition at 18th Busan International Film Festival and 44th International Film Festival of India, Goa – Indian Panorama.It is also a recipient of National Award for ‘Best Visual Effects’ (2014).
JAL made a remarkable presence globally by getting qualified in the advance list of Oscar Contentions for the ‘Best Original Score’ and ‘Best Picture’ categories. Its Screenplay was invited to be a part of permanent core collection at the prestigious Oscar Library. Girish’s ‘Torbaaz’ achieved a grand opening and was trending in more than 20+ countries in the world.
