Story Line
Afghanistan is a wounded land that bears many scars – burned out skeletons of tanks, ruins of homes destroyed by rockets or bombs and the pock marks where walls have been hit by bullets. There are scars on the minds and hearts of the Afghan people from years of warfare.
Torbaaz is a story about one man’s attempts to give hope to a group of Afghani children living in the refugee camps of Kabul through the game of cricket.
Nasser, an ex-army doctor from India is back in Afghanistan. To the horror of his family and friends he decides to return to this cursed land- this time with a mission of his own- A mission of hope!
But there are things about these boys that Nasser still doesn’t know. Can he save them? Is there still a place for hope in their lives? Can they escape decades of hatred and destruction or will they get sucked back in the whirlpool of circumstances?
